Viktor Gyökeres is expected in London today to complete his Arsenal medical ahead of a move that will take him from Sporting CP to the Emirates for an initial £53.5 million, with a further £8.5 million in performance-based add-ons.
Final documentation between the clubs was exchanged late yesterday, according to A BOLA, ending weeks of negotiation over the structure of the bonus payments.

The Swedish striker is now on course to join Mikel Arteta’s squad, who are currently on their Asian pre-season tour. There had been talk he would complete his medical there, but the Portuguese outlet are now reporting it will take place in London.
Once the medical is complete, Gyökeres is scheduled to travel to Singapore, where Arsenal face Newcastle United on 27 July, before moving on to Hong Kong for a meeting with Tottenham Hotspur on 31 July.

The 27-year-old arrives on the back of a prolific spell in Portugal, where he scored 97 goals in 102 appearances and won two league titles with Sporting.
Arsenal view him as the long-term focal point of their attack, having finished runners-up in the Premier League and reached the Champions League semi-finals last season.
An official announcement confirming the transfer could even come over the weekend, once Gyökeres has passed his medical, signed his contract running to 2030 and travelled to Singapore to meet up with his new teammates.
