Arsenal reportedly plan to step up their interest in Eberechi Eze now that the Viktor Gyokeres transfer is all but complete, though they’d prefer to sell before buying.

Miguel Delaney reports for The Independent that Arsenal are aiming to move for Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze once they’ve finalised a move for Viktor Gyokeres.
Delaney writes that Eze prefers Arsenal over the alternatives this summer, and those close to the player are confident a deal will be done in the next few weeks.
The Gunners are hoping to agree a fee outside of Eze’s £68m release clause, aiming to pay closer to £60m, and Delaney suggests there are suggestions both clubs will be flexbile in negotiations.

The report adds that Arsenal would ideally prefer to sell a player before signing Eze, though the signing isn’t contingent on sales. There’s also reportedly a possibility that Reiss Nelson could be included in a deal.
Dharmesh Sheth confirms for Sky Sports that sources have informed him to keep an eye on the Eze situation after Gyokeres joins, though again he suggests that player sales are the priority.
Eze has also been linked with Chelsea, but Chelsea podcaster Alex Goldberg reports that the player “really wants Arsenal”.

Any potential deal is clearly a long way off. Arsenal are yet to even open talks with Crystal Palace, and Nelson is drawing interest from Fulham at the moment.
But it seems Eze is Arsenal’s most likely transfer target for the remainder of the window, if they do choose to make another signing.
