Arsenal have added Morgan Rogers and Igor Paixao to their list of potential summer targets, according to a report.

Gary Jacob reports for The Times that even after signing a midfielder and a backup goalkeeper (with Martin Zubimendi and Kepa Arrizabalaga close), Mikel Arteta is still eyeing as many as four more signings this summer.
The Arsenal boss reportedly wants a left winger, a striker, a centre-back, and possibly even another midfielder.
Morgan Rogers of Aston Villa could fill multiple roles on that list, and Jacob claims Arsenal have the player on their shortlist. But they’d have to offer a significant transfer fee for Villa to consider a sale.

An alternative is Igor Paixao of Feyenoord, who would be significantly cheaper. The winger also has interest from Leeds United, but it’s clear he wouldn’t cost as much as other Arsenal wide targets like Leroy Sane and Nico Williams would.
Even though Sane would be a free agent signing from Bayern Munich, and technically wouldn’t require a transfer fee, he’d expect a signing-on fee.
Jacob adds that the Bayern winger would also want similar wages to the £220,000 a week he earns currently. “Free” transfer is perhaps a bit misleading.

There’s no suggestion that either Rogers or Paixao are close to joining Arsenal, or even that the Gunners have made concrete moves to sign them. For now, they’ve just been included on a shortlist.
