Former Arsenal academy midfielder Bradley Ibrahim has joined Plymouth Argyle, amid reports that Jack Wilshere is set to take over as the club’s new manager.

Earlier this week, reports broke that Jack Wilshere is the leading contender for the managerial job at Plymouth Argyle, following his departure from Norwich City.
Argyle have already parted ways with their previous boss, Miron Muslic, so it may just be a matter of time until an appointment is made official.
In the meantime, another former Gunner has already linked up with the same club this week.

Stuart James reported for the Western Morning News in their print edition on Wednesday, June 4th that Plymouth Argyle were closing in on a move for ex-Arsenal academy midfielder Bradley Ibrahim, aiming to beat Bolton Wanderers, Peterborough United, and Charlton Athletic to the signing.
Argyle have now confirmed the move, with Ibrahim joining on a four-year deal from Hertha BSC, the club he left Arsenal for last year.
“I am very pleased that Bradley has agreed to join us,” Argyle Head of Football Operations David Fox said. “He is someone we identified during last season with the profile of being strong, powerful, a good tackler, and at an age where he is improving rapidly.”
Ibrahim has played under Wilshere before, making the final of the FA Youth Cup with the Arsenal u18s in 2023. He spent last season on loan in League One, playing 37 times for Crawley Town in all competitions and scoring a couple of goals from his defensive midfield role.

If Ibrahim has had one major issue on his loan spell with Crawley this season, it’s been ill-discipline. The midfielder picked up a huge 15 yellow cards in 33 League One appearances, more than anyone else in the division, earning him multiple suspensions.
Ibrahim picked up a one-game ban in November for accumulating five yellow cards, then a two-game ban in February for reaching 10, then a three-game ban in April for hitting 15, forcing him to miss the final three fixtures of the season.
The former Gunner won a consistent starting role when he was available, he’ll just want to make sure he’s available more often with his new club.
