Alan Nixon reports on his Patreon that Arsenal want to sign Blackburn Rovers teenager Igor Tyjon this summer. Rovers are reportedly open to a sale, but only if the deal is right, and they’ll look to bring in as much as possible for the player’s transfer.

Tyjon primarily operates at centre-forward, but he’s also played on the wings at times.

At this stage, Arsenal are offering over £1m plus appearance add-ons for the 17-year-old.

Tyjon is an England youth player also eligible for Poland. He’s represented the Poland u16s in the past, but he made the switch back to the England u17s last September.

Arsenal would have got a good look at the youngster during those England appearances, playing alongside their own star talent Max Dowman, as well as youth goalkeeper and recent Gunners first-team debutant Jack Porter.

Stepping up into the Blackburn Rovers u21 side this season, Tyjon scored four goals in seven Premier League 2 appearances, and he even made his first-team debut with a couple of substitute showings in the Championship.

Arsenal have evidently taken notice of that progress, and they’re now looking to add him to their own academy ranks.

With the likes of Khayon Edwards and Nathan Butler-Oyedeji set to leave this summer, there’s an opening for a youth forward at Arsenal.
