Arsenal have opened new contract talks with Leandro Trossard for a long-term deal, according to multiple reports.

Pete O’Rourke reported on Saturday morning that Arsenal were in advanced talks with Leandro Trossard over a new long-term deal to keep him at the club.
O’Rourke highlighted that Trossard is set to enter the final year of his current deal this summer, and the Gunners are keen to sort out his future.
Isaan Khan confirmed for the Daily Mail that Arsenal have opened talks with Trossard, hoping to tie him down until 2029.

Khan added that the Gunners do have a one-year option in Trossard’s current contract, allowing them to extend to 2027 if they wished.
The report also mentioned that after Arsenal turned down a bid for Trossard from Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia last summer, other clubs in the league are pursuing him again this time around.
Arsenal hope to hold onto him again, and they’re reportedly willing to offer the forward a longer term contract than they usually would for a player over 30. They believe his high fitness levels will allow him to keep performing for longer than average.

Trossard has been consistently available this season, in a campaign where most of the first-team squad have missed weeks or months.
The 30-year-old’s only absence for Arsenal was his one-game suspension for the League Cup third round, and he was on the bench for the fourth round. Other than that, he’s featured in every match in all competitions, starting 35 of those fixtures.
The Belgian forward has 10 goals and eight assists this season, putting him close to his 17 goals and three assists last campaign.
