Arsenal are genuine contenders in the race to sign Rodrygo from Real Madrid this summer, according to a report.

TalkSPORT report that Arsenal are genuine contenders for Rodrygo this summer, with the player believed to be unsettled at Real Madrid and sources claiming a move to north London is a possibility.
Alex Crook claimed he’d received a message from a source saying to “keep an eye on Arsenal and Rodrygo” ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
ESPN’s Sam Marsden confirmed on the show that there’s “more than a suggestion” Real Madrid could cash in on Rodrygo this summer, and he seems to be being pushed towards the door.

James McNicholas reported for The Athletic this week that Arteta is a fan of Rodrygo, though the finances of a potential deal would be challenging. Those claims followed a report from Relevo that Arsenal had made contact with the player.
Spanish outlet AS wrote on Thursday Arsenal like Rodrygo, who is currently a little out of favour in Madrid. Though they add that the Brazilian isn’t the Gunners’ only option, and that they face competition from Manchester City.
AS add that Real Madrid would be willing to negotiate for €100m (£84.2m) or more. If any of the English clubs put a figure like that on the table, a sale would be considered.

If Real Madrid are open to selling and Arsenal can afford the deal this summer, there’s no doubt that Rodrygo would be an excellent acquisition.
The 24-year-old has another 23 goals and assists in 50 appearances this season, after racking up 27 goals and assists in 52 games last campaign.
Though he may not be at his best right now, with one goal in all competitions since the start of February, the talent is clearly there. This could be a good time to pounce and get the 24-year-old winger firing again.
