Tottenham Hotspur are now officially the most expensive club to support in the Premier League, overtaking long-time leaders Arsenal, according to a new study reported in the i.

The figures, released on 17 April 2025, put Tottenham’s average annual cost of support at £1,959.30. This includes a season ticket, club membership, official merchandise, and the price of a pie and a pint at the stadium.
Arsenal come in second at £1,883.72.
The timing of the report is especially damning for Spurs, who are enduring one of the worst seasons in their recent history. They have lost 18 league matches and currently sit one point above West Ham United in 17th. The two teams are yet to face each other in the closing weeks of the season.
By comparison, when Burnley were relegated from the Premier League at the end of the 2020/21 season, they had lost fewer games than Tottenham have already managed this year. Burnley were promoted back to the top flight yesterday.
Spurs fans are now paying more than those of clubs with significantly stronger performances and expectations.
