Bukayo Saka has attempted to ease concerns over his contract situation by insisting that he wants to win trophies at Arsenal, and that he’s happy where he is.

Bukayo Saka is a key player for Arsenal and one of the first names on the team sheet whenever he’s fit, but there are already rumblings of an imminent contract saga involving the 23-year-old winger.
Saka’s current deal with Arsenal lasts until 2027, meaning he’ll have two years left on it this summer. But the club will want to keep him around for much longer than that, and talks are reportedly planned for the near future.

When asked about his contract situation on Monday, Saka told the media that his primary motivation is to win things playing for Arsenal.
“For me, I want to win, and I want to win wearing this badge,” Saka said. “So I think it’s pretty clear. The fans know how much I love them and you saw when I came on, on Tuesday, I think they love me back.
“It’s a good relationship and I’m really happy to be here and I’m just focused on winning here.”

Fabrizio Romano recently reported that Saka would hold new conversations with Arsenal over a long-term contract extension after making his return to the pitch – which has now happened.
Romano added that there’s “no rush”, but conversations will begin shortly, with new sporting director Andrea Berta in charge of the negotiation process.
Despite his long-term injury, the stats still show Saka’s importance to Arsenal this season, with the player contributing 24 goals or assists in 26 games. The sooner he extends his contract again, the better the fans will feel.
