David Raya has won the Premier League’s Save of the Month award for March, his second such award of the current campaign.

The Premier League have confirmed that David Raya’s late save against Manchester United has won their Save of the Month award for March 2025.

The Arsenal goalkeeper first kept out a close-range effort from Bruno Fernandes, but he had to be sharp to get up and prevent the spinning rebound from entering the net at the second attempt.

With United forwards also in close proximity, it would have been a certain goal if not for Raya’s quick reading of the situation and his successful stop.

Raya also won the Save of the Month award in August for his stop against Ollie Watkins of Aston Villa, as well as being nominated for his save from a close-range header by Josko Gvardiol in February.

On that occasion, Raya lost out to Kepa Arrizabalaga of Bournemouth, but he has his hands on the prize again one month later.

Since the award was first introduced in 2022/23, only seven goalkeepers have won Save of the Month more than once, and Raya is now one of them.

The only goalkeeper to win the award three times is Andre Onana, so Raya’s task now is to catch up to the Manchester United man by winning it again.
