Elliot Anderson opened the scoring after five minutes, his shot deflecting off Rodrigo Bentancur and wrong-footing the goalkeeper.

Chris Wood had a goal ruled out for offside five minutes later, but Forest doubled their lead soon after through a well-worked move finished by Wood.

Richarlison pulled one back for Spurs late in the game, but the visitors, clearly distracted by their upcoming Europa League semi-final against Bodø/Glimt, never fully recovered from their early setback. The defeat marks Tottenham’s 18th league loss of the season, their most in a campaign since 2003–04, when they lost 19.

The match was briefly played without VAR due to a fire alarm at Stockley Park, though no major incidents occurred during the outage.

Forest’s win returns them to third place and keeps them firmly in control of their Champions League qualification hopes, with Arsenal now just six points ahead.
