Arsenal have informed Gabriel Magalhaes that they intend to extend his contract with the club, according to a report from Brazil.

Felipe Silva reports for Brazilian outlet UOL that Arsenal are interested in renewing Gabriel Magalhaes’ contract, and they’ve already signalled to the player their intention to extend.
Gabriel has reportedly been approached by other European teams, as well as Saudi Arabian clubs, but the Gunners are clearly keen to keep him around.
As it stands, the centre-back is out for the season with a hamstring injury that required surgery.

GiveMeSport journalist Ben Jacobs had reported in March that Al-Nassr were planning to bid for Gabriel this summer, and they’re also already made contact with the player.
But Jacobs added that new Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta would continue to push Gabriel to sign a new deal.
Sami Mokbel had reported for the BBC that Arsenal had already held some contract talks with Gabriel, whose current deal expires in 2027. Charles Watts even claimed there were early conversations being held all the way back in September.

Gabriel made 42 appearances for Arsenal in 2024/25 before injury brought his season to an early end. He’ll now be focusing on getting fit for 2025/26, whilst keeping an eye on the Gunners’ Champions League run from the sidelines.
