The England u17s have learned their group draw for the u17 European Championships this summer, with Arsenal’s Max Dowman and Jack Porter expected to feature.

Arsenal duo Max Dowman and Jack Porter were both involved for the England u17s over the international break, helping the team to qualify for the European Championships and the World Cup later this year.
The first of those two competitions kicks off in May, and England now know their group stage opponents.
Dowman and Porter will face off against Belgium, Italy, and the Czech Republic in Group B, with Group A containing hosts Albania, France, Germany, and Portugal.

England’s full group schedule is as follows:
- 17:00 BST – Tuesday, May 20th – England vs Belgium
- 19:30 BST – Friday, May 23rd – Italy vs England
- 19:30 BST – Monday, May 26th – Czechia vs England
If England make it, the semi finals will then be played on Thursday, May 29th, with the final at 19:30 BST on Sunday, June 1st.

Porter played in two of England’s three wins in their March qualifiers, keeping a clean sheet against Israel. The goalkeeper had also kept a clean sheet against Malta in one of his two appearances in the previous round of qualifiers in October.
As for Dowman, the 15-year-old is already one of the stars of the team, scoring three goals and assisting two more across his six qualification appearances. His goal against Northern Ireland in March was particularly impressive.
Neither player has been officially called up for the final tournament yet, but both should have a significant role to play next month.
