The Arsenal squad have been spotted training at a school in Madrid ahead of Wednesday night’s Champions League quarter-final second leg.

With hours to go until their Champions League quarter-final second leg match against Real Madrid, the Arsenal squad reportedly decided to head to school.
That’s according to Relevo, who claim that Mikel Arteta’s squad went to the Valdeluz de los Agustinos school in Madrid to hold a training session before lunch on Wednesday.
With the students away for vacation, the school was empty, and none of the locals knew the Arsenal squad were going to be there before they arrived.

The only hint that something strange was happening was the presence of a number of employees working on the grounds, despite the holiday.
The report suggests the players then arrived looking relaxed, listening to music, with coaching staff carrying bags of training equipment.
The school does have a football pitch, but it’s made of synthetic turf. Fortunately, it seems Arsenal didn’t intend to use the pitch, instead using an indoor area for their session.

The Arsenal squad were likely only holding a light session, given the actual match is scheduled for later the same day. Evidently the school’s facilities were fit for that purpose.
