Arsenal hope to sign 16-year-old Blackburn Rovers talent Harvey Higgins within weeks, according to a report.

Alan Nixon reports for The S*n that Arsenal hope to sign Harvey Higgins of Blackburn Rovers in the next few weeks, with several top clubs in the race for the young striker including some in Serie A.
Rovers would receive a compensation payment if Higgins moves, which could come to as much as £1.5m.
As well as the Italian sides and Arsenal, there are at least two other Premier League clubs in the mix for the 16-year-old forward.

Higgins only turned 16 in January, and he made his debut for the England u16s last year. He’s continued to play for the side in recent matches in February and March.
With Blackburn Rovers, Higgins has mostly been playing for the u16s and u18s this season, but he did make his u21 debut in the Premier League Cup in December, scoring against Preston North End in a 4-4 draw.

Nixon adds that Arsenal continue to monitor Jaden Dixon of Stoke City, following their enquiry for the defender in the January transfer window.
Sami Mokbel had reported in February that Arsenal have an interest in Dixon as a replacement for Ayden Heaven – now of Manchester United. The Gunners made an enquiry on deadline day in January, and could make another move this summer.
