Manuel Ugarte and Harry Maguire have been left out of Manchester United’s squad to face Real Sociedad through injury, but neither player has been ruled out of a return against Arsenal.

Following Arsenal’s 7-1 win over PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday, the Gunners have had the chance to get ahead on rest in the build up to Sunday’s match against Manchester United.
Ruben Amorim’s United side have to play the first leg of their Europa League tie on Thursday night, travelling to Spain to face Real Sociedad. And on top of the shorter rest period between fixtures, United also added a couple more injury concerns to their growing list last weekend.
Manuel Ugarte and Harry Maguire have been left out of Thursday’s squad to face Real Sociedad, with Amorim admitting both decisions were injury-related.

“Small things,” Amorim clarified. “So we are being careful with them because, in this moment, we cannot allow us to lose more players for a long time.
“We are taking care of them in Carrington and they cannot play this game because it will be a greater risk.”
From the sounds of things, both players will be back available against Arsenal, but Amorim was giving no guarantees.

United will be missing quite a few players against Arsenal, including recent signing Patrick Dorgu, who is suspended after a red card.
Altay Bayindir, Tom Heaton, Jonny Evans, Luke Shaw, Mason Mount, Lisandro Martinez, Kobbie Mainoo and Amad Diallo are all currently sidelined as well, with none of them currently expected to be back by Sunday.
Former Gunner Chido Obi will also be available and rested, as he’s ineligible for the Europa League game on Thursday.
