For the English teams, it is really important to go far in the competition as the five-year Association ranking at the end of the season will decide the access list for the 2026/27 season.

The top-two nations get two places directly for the new 18-team League Phase. Next season, England will only have one team qualifying directly – the WSL champions – as the top-two nations were France and Germany.

Here is the current ranking 1. France 65.999 2. England 64.165 3. Spain 62.999 4. Germany 61.322.

The fight for the top-two places is extremely tight and therefore all three English teams will need to go as far as possible to keep second place or even go top of the rankings. And unfortunately, two of them will play each other in the quarter-finals.
