Arsenal midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga has suffered another hamstring injury, with reports suggesting the player could be out for around a month.

Ahead of Sevilla’s match against Barcelona at the weekend, Sevilla confirmed that Arsenal loanee Albert Sambi Lokonga had suffered an injury to his hamstring in training.
Though the Spanish club didn’t confirm the severity of the injury, Relevo report that the player will be out of action for around four weeks.
Relevo claim Sevilla manager Garcia Pimienta had been planning to start Lokonga against Barcelona, so the injury led to a last-minute change of plans. Barcelona ultimately triumphed 4-1.

This injury is already the third hamstring injury of Lokonga’s loan spell in Spain.
The 25-year-old first suffered an injury in pre-season, missing the opening game of the season. After returning and making two appearances in late August and early September, the Belgian international then suffered another setback.
From October until February, Lokonga mostly managed to stay fit and play regularly, and he recently told the media: “I think I’ve put the problem of injuries behind me, it’s in the past, now I just want to play and be decisive for the team.”
But not long after that interview, those injuries appear to have sidelined him again.

Lokonga has made 16 appearances for Sevilla, who have a £10m option to buy in his loan deal.
As well as the Barcelona game, the Belgian is set to miss upcoming fixtures against Real Valladolid, Mallorca, and Rayo Vallecano, but he’s hoping to be back against Real Sociedad on March 9th.
