John Cross reports for the Mirror that Myles Lewis-Skelly is on England’s radar for a potential senior call-up.

Left-back is an area Thomas Tuchel is keen to solve ahead of next month’s World Cup qualifiers, and on current form, Lewis-Skelly will be in his mind.

Whilst Gareth Southgate tended to stick to a more cautious promotion pathway with his youth players, Tuchel’s 18-month contract will likely push him to be more proactive.

Paul Joyce confirms for The Times that England are to step up scouting missions on Lewis-Skelly, with Tuchel having already personally checked on the player’s progress at least twice.

Joyce claims Tuchel has some reservations about Lewis-Skelly’s age and inexperience, but again the reporter hints that the manager’s short contract might push him into action.

Sami Mokbel writes for the Daily Mail that sources are not ruling out a call-up for Lewis-Skelly in March, and the player will at least earn a promotion to the England u21s if nothing else.

As a general rule, the preference is to give players their u21 debut before the jump to the first-team. But the calls for Lewis-Skelly to skip that step are growing.

Lewis-Skelly has made 19 appearances for the Arsenal first team this season, with 11 of those coming in the starting lineup.

The teenager particularly impressed against reigning Premier League champions Manchester City at the weekend, with a near-faultless performance capped by his first senior goal.

If he can keep up those kinds of displays for the next month or so, Tuchel will definitely have a decision to make.
