Kobbie Mainoo is set to miss Manchester United’s game against Arsenal next month, though he appears likely to return to action before the end of the season.

Manchester United suffered a few injury blows in training this week, with Amad Diallo and Kobbie Mainoo among those to suffer setbacks.
It was quickly apparent that Diallo would be absent against Arsenal, with reports suggesting he’ll be out for a couple of months. The Gunners travel to Old Trafford in less than three weeks.
That was certainly a blow, as Diallo has scored or assisted 16 times for United this season, and he’s netted four of their last six goals in the Premier League.

Yet it wasn’t initially clear whether Mainoo would also miss the Arsenal match, with some reports suggesting he could be out for just two or three weeks.
That no longer appears to be the case, with Chris Wheeler reporting that his understanding is that Mainoo will be out for around six weeks. Anything close to that length of absence will mean he definitely misses the Arsenal game.
Manuel Ugarte also suffered a training injury, but it seems he’s much less likely to miss the Arsenal game, as his problem is only described as a knock.

Lisandro Martinez will definitely be out with an ACL injury, whilst other players currently expected to miss the Arsenal game include Luke Shaw and Mason Mount. As it stands, Shaw is set to return in April, whilst Mount’s return date is unknown.
