Following recent links with a move to Arsenal, Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen has had his release clause revealed in the media.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen has a £50m release clause in his contract, valid from the summer of 2025.
Romano writes that Huijsen is attracting the interest of some top clubs with his performances this season, and other reports have suggested that Arsenal may be on that list.
David Alonso reported for AS in December that Arsenal and Manchester United were beginning to position themselves for Huijsen, making enquiries about his contractual situation. Though Alonso clarified that neither club had made a concrete proposal, and Real Madrid are also in the mix.

It seems unlikely that Arsenal make a major move for a defender this summer, given the team’s needs further up the pitch. It would probably take a significant departure for the Gunners to consider investing funds in the defence.
But with the talk about Madrid’s interest in William Saliba, perhaps Arsenal are simply making sure they’re prepared for every eventuality.
Huijsen has made 22 appearances for Bournemouth this season, scoring a couple of goals and helping the team up to fifth place in the Premier League table.

Ideally, Arsenal extend the contracts of their current defenders – most importantly Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes – and spend the summer looking at forwards, attacking midfielders, and a backup goalkeeper.
But should one of the big players leave for a significant fee, perhaps Huijsen’s £50m release clause could look tempting.
