Rotherham United are interested in signing Nathan Butler-Oyedeji on loan, with Arsenal also reportedly willing to let the forward leave permanently this month.

With just hours to go until the winter transfer deadline, Nathan Butler-Oyedeji is one of the Arsenal players up for grabs.
James McNicholas reports for The Athletic that Arsenal are open to letting Butler-Oyedeji leave permanently, though it appears his best shot at an exit is currently a loan move.
Pete O’Rourke reports for Football Insider that Rotherham United have made a late loan offer to sign the 22-year-old, following a recent failed attempt by FC Zurich to sign him.

Butler-Oyedeji has been on fire for the Arsenal academy this season, racking up 14 goals and assists in 13 matches for the u21s.
The u21s’ last win over Nottingham Forest was only the second time all season that Butler-Oyedeji had played in a Premier League 2 fixture and failed to score or assist, and even then there was the significant mitigating factor that he came off at half-time with Arsenal ahead.
Mikel Arteta has recognised Butler-Oyedeji’s form, naming him in the first-team squad 12 times this season and giving him his debut in the Champions League game against GNK Dinamo last month.

Having said that, Butler-Oyedeji doesn’t seem to be breaking into the starting lineup ahead of Arsenal’s current attacking options, with the Gunners hoping to add more over the next couple of transfer windows.
If a move presents itself late in the current window, he’d have every right to go for it.
