Arsenal are making progress on new contracts for Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri, following positive recent contact on their deal extensions.

Fabrizio Romano reports on his YouTube channel that Arsenal are making progress on new contracts for Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri.
Romano claims progress has been very good, with positive recent contact between the players and their current club. He adds that the expectation is to get everything ready very soon.
As well as new contracts, Lewis-Skelly and Nwaneri are also increasingly in the conversation for England call-ups, with Romano claiming Thomas Tuchel is following both players.
Lewis-Skelly is a little ahead on that front at the moment, and he could even be involved in March.

On the contract front, Nwaneri is currently prohibited from signing a new deal. He’s under the terms of his first professional contract, and he’ll only be eligible for a new one when he turns 18 in March.
That won’t stop Arsenal from holding talks with the player, as they’ll want him to sign a new deal as soon as he’s allowed.
The same restriction doesn’t apply to Lewis-Skelly, who turned 18 in September. But perhaps Arsenal will look to do a double signing and announcement, confirming both new deals together.

Lewis-Skelly signed his first professional deal in October 2023, whilst Nwaneri’s terms were confirmed in March 2024. Due to the restrictions on first professional deals, that means both players are under contract until no later than June 2026.
Arsenal will want to ensure the pair stick around for much longer than that, and they’ll hope the work they’ve put in to integrate the youngsters with the senior team will convince them to sign on.
