Arsenal have reportedly joined the race for Nicolas Jackson, with the Chelsea striker attracting interest ahead of the summer transfer window.

Arsenal have reportedly joined Atletico Madrid, Aston Villa, and Newcastle United in monitoring Nicolas Jackson, with the Chelsea striker emerging as a potential summer target for multiple clubs.
The Senegalese forward, who moved to Stamford Bridge from Villarreal last year, has impressed in spells but remains a player of raw potential rather than finished quality.
Despite Jackson’s current hamstring injury ruling him out until April, his long-term appeal in the market remains unaffected. Chelsea paid €37 million to sign him, and his performances since then have seen his value rise, with reports suggesting any potential sale would require a fee in the region of €50 million.
Arsenal, still searching for a consistent goal-scoring presence in their squad, apparently view Jackson as one of several options they could pursue in the coming months.
The Gunners have struggled for attacking depth this season, with Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka, and Gabriel Martinelli all dealing with injuries. Mikel Arteta has been forced into unconventional tactical decisions, including deploying Mikel Merino, a midfielder, as a makeshift centre-forward in the 2-0 win over Leicester City.
While that experiment paid off in the short term, Arsenal will, finally, pursue a more permanent solution in the transfer window.

Newcastle United’s interest in Jackson is tied to the future of Alexander Isak, who is expected to attract significant offers this summer, one of which could be from Arsenal.
Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid are seeking reinforcements in attack as they look to rebuild their frontline, making Jackson a prime target. Aston Villa have also been credited with interest as they continue to strengthen under Unai Emery.

For Chelsea, Jackson’s immediate absence is problematic, leaving them without a recognised striker for a critical run of fixtures, including clashes with Aston Villa, Southampton, Leicester City, and Arsenal. Christopher Nkunku is expected to deputise in his absence, with Enzo Maresca opting against signing an additional forward in January. They lost their first game without Jackson 3-0 at Brighton.
