Bless Akolbire hasn’t yet signed his contract with Leicester City, despite the Premier League seemingly confirming his transfer from Arsenal.

Jeorge Bird reports that whilst Bless Akolbire will be joining Leicester City from Arsenal, he’s yet to sign his contract with them.
After a trial with Leicester earlier in the season, Akolbire has featured in their last two u18 fixtures against Reading and Chelsea. On top of that, the Premier League have listed the player with Leicester’s u21 players, rather than Arsenal’s.
Yet neither club have announced the move, and it seems that’s because Akolbire is yet to put pen to paper on a contract.

Following his trial match against Tottenham Hotspur in November, Akolbire returned to Arsenal, playing for their u18s against West Ham as a substitute in January.
But the midfielder’s subsequent return to Leicester, combined with the Premier League squad list switch, all suggests his official transfer is imminent.

Akolbire had made 19 appearances for the Arsenal u18s since his debut at that level in 2022. He now looks set to continue his development a little further north.
