Dahbia Hattabi reports for French outlet Foot Mercato that Arsenal are following Lucien Agoume of Sevilla, really appreciating the player’s profile.

The report adds that the Gunners could take advantage of the fact Agoume shares an agent with William Saliba, given the two parties clearly already have a relationship. The player is also seemingly open to Arsenal’s potential pursuit.

Yet there are also complications with Edu Gaspar’s departure, so Arsenal haven’t done anything more than show interest in Agoume at this stage.

Arsenal have seemingly had an interest in Agoume for a very long time now. As Agoume neared a move to Inter Milan in 2019, the player’s agent told the media that the Gunners were also an option at the time.

“I think we will end with Inter,” Djibril Niang said then. “There were also Manchester City and Arsenal, who are waiting. But this is not the priority choice of the player.

“There would have been more speed with these two clubs, but once again we worked on the desire of the player.”

Agoume did ultimately join Inter, before going on loan to Spezia Calcio, Stade Brestois, and Troyes over the next few years. The 22-year-old eventually joined Sevilla on loan before making his move permanent this summer.

That summer transfer seemingly gave Agoume some stability for the next few years, as he signed a contract to 2028. But already the media are starting to speculate on his next move, with Arsenal seemingly in the mix.
