How are Arsenal’s November internationals getting on?

With a few days to go in the November break, let’s look at how Arsenal’s 13 internationals have been getting on so far.

Initially, 11 Arsenal players and two loanees were called up by their countries for the November internationals, but there were a few players whose call-ups were in the balance.

Both Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka ultimately pulled out of England duty, having picked up injuries with Arsenal.

Martin Odegaard was technically never called up, but he travelled to Oslo to be assessed ahead of a potential late inclusion. Norway then decided against it.

On the other side of things, Albert Sambi Lokonga received a late call-up from Belgium, and Gabriel Martinelli was called up late by Brazil, balancing out the two England withdrawals.

Among the others who aren’t involved are Takehiro Tomiyasu (Japan), Kieran Tierney (Scotland), and Riccardo Calafiori (Italy), all left out due to injury.

Thomas Partey has been dropped by Ghana, seemingly because he upset them by pulling out of the October break before his country’s medical team could assess him.

Jorginho has also been excluded by Italy, presumably over his lack of recent minutes.

That leaves the following players involved this week: Jurrien Timber (Netherlands), Kai Havertz (Germany), Gabriel Magalhaes and Gabriel Martinelli (Brazil), William Saliba (France), Jakub Kiwior (Poland), Oleksandr Zinchenko (Ukraine), David Raya and Mikel Merino (Spain), Leandro Trossard and Albert Sambi Lokonga (Belgium), Karl Hein (Estonia), and Nuno Tavares (Portugal).
