Arsenal interest in 24yo is ‘real’ says Italian report

Arsenal‘s interest in Dusan Vlahovic is genuine, according to Italian outlet Tutto Juve.

The report states that Juventus are determined to renew Vlahovic’s contract to secure his future, acknowledging that competition from clubs like Arsenal could significantly complicate their plans.

Juventus, however, will only entertain offers starting at €80m, should any negotiations arise.

Vlahovic, who joined Juventus in 2022 for €83.5m, has a contract running until 2026.

Although Juventus management sees him as fundamental to their ambitions, Arsenal’s reported renewed interest may be adding pressure on the Italian club.

For Vlahovic and his representatives, the rumoured interest provides strategic leverage in ongoing extension talks, potentially driving up his value and earning power.

Arsenal fans should therefore be cautious about getting too hopeful.

Vlahovic previously rejected Arsenal in favour of Juventus, which puts into question whether he has any real intention of moving to the Premier League.

Historically, the Serbian striker has shown little desire to leave Italy, and his recent performances—seven goals and one assist in 110 games—reinforces his value to Juventus, making them keen to hold onto him.

Moreover, the suggestion of Arsenal’s interest may simply be a tactic employed again by Vlahovic’s agent to secure more favourable terms from Juventus.

The lure of the Premier League and the prospect of Arsenal could be useful tools for Vlahovic’s camp as negotiations for his extension unfold.

For Juventus, losing Vlahovic would be a significant blow, but the ongoing rumours of Arsenal’s involvement could be more about bargaining than any genuine movement.

Ultimately, while Arsenal may genuinely be exploring striker options, history and circumstances suggest Vlahovic remains an unlikely target.

The current narrative appears to be more about leveraging Arsenal’s name to benefit Vlahovic’s future at Juventus than about a serious push to bring the striker to the Emirates.
