Arsenal loanee Reiss Nelson impressed on his debut for Fulham on Saturday, despite the team slipping to a draw in the final stages.
Arsenal loanee Reiss Nelson made his first appearance in a Fulham squad on Saturday, as they faced off against West Ham United at Craven Cottage.
Nelson was initially named on the bench, so he could only watch on for the first 66 minutes of the match.
But the winger would have enjoyed what he saw, with former Gunner Emile Smith Rowe setting up Raul Jimenez for Fulham’s opening goal of the contest.
In the second half, Nelson was introduced, and he put in an impressive display.
The Arsenal winger completed both of his attempted dribbles, won the majority of his individual duels, and completed eight of 11 passes. He even went close to scoring with a shot that required a save from Alphonse Areola.

With Fulham looking to secure all three points, Nelson picked up a yellow card in the dying minutes for delaying a free-kick. Arsenal fans will be all too familiar with that rule.
But with seconds to go in the 95th minute, Danny Ings stole a point with a clinical finish for 1-1.
Regardless of the overall result, Arsenal fans will be pleased to see Nelson making a confident start on his first Fulham appearance. He’ll now look to replicate the display as a starter.
Fulham face Preston North End in the League Cup on Tuesday, so that could be a good opportunity for Nelson to make his first appearance in Marco Silva’s starting team.
