Arsenal have already made three summer signings and could make more on deadline day, but which of them will be eligible to face Brighton on Saturday?

At the time of writing, Arsenal have made three summer signings, bringing in Riccardo Calafiori, David Raya, and Mikel Merino.

With deadline day upon us, there are links to the likes of Neto, Raheem Sterling, and a third-choice goalkeeper. It’s not impossible Arsenal could end the window with six new first-team signings.

But will all six potential additions be available to Mikel Arteta on Saturday?

Calafiori and Raya have already featured for Arsenal, and there’s no doubting their eligibility against Brighton. Merino has also been registered in time, so he could join the squad as well.

Beyond that, it depends on whether or not any deals are completed before midday on Friday.

Premier League rules state that a player must be registered by 12pm on the last working day before a game to be eligible.

With the Brighton game taking place on Saturday, that means the Gunners only have until the middle of Friday’s deadline day to register players for the match.

Neto is holding a medical with Arsenal on Friday morning, so he’s in a race against time to complete his transfer before the midday cutoff.

It looks extremely unlikely any other deals will be done before midday. If they’re completed on Friday evening, the relevant player will first be available for match action when the Gunners return from the September international break.
