Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has made a bold prediction for the upcoming Premier League season, tipping Arsenal to clinch the title despite Manchester City‘s recent dominance.

Redknapp’s omission of Liverpool from the title conversation also suggests he has reservations about their ability to challenge under new manager Arne Slot.

harry-redknapp-car-windowIn a recent interview, Redknapp acknowledged Manchester City’s impressive track record, stating, “Man City have just been incredible haven’t they, for me they’ve been the best team not only in the Premier League but in the world – the last four or five years they’ve been unbelievable.”

However, he expressed a strong feeling about Arsenal’s prospects this season, saying, “But I just get a feeling about Arsenal this year, and I know Spurs fans wouldn’t like that, but I’ve got a feeling Arsenal could win it this year.”

Redknapp’s prediction comes as a surprise, especially considering his history with Tottenham. During his managerial career, he faced the Gunners 38 times, winning only five, drawing 12, and losing 21. His record as Spurs manager against Arsenal was equally balanced, with three wins and three losses, although one of those was one of the 5-2s.

Despite this, Redknapp’s belief in Arsenal’s potential to dethrone Manchester City is a testament to the Gunners’ progress under Mikel Arteta. They narrowly missed out on the title in the past two seasons, and with a strengthened squad and growing confidence, they could be ready to take the final step.

Tottenham don’t seem to have got a mention.
