Reiss Nelson appears to have a verbal agreement with West Ham United, but there’s no club-to-club agreement in place with Arsenal wanting £15-20m.

Following reports from West Ham United insiders of Hammers interest in Reiss Nelson this week, Sam Dean of The Telegraph has confirmed that the winger is of interest to the east London club.

Dean reports that Nelson could look for a move that provides him with regular football, adding that it’s believed he could be available for a fee in the region of £15m to £20m.

Team News and Ticks reports on their Patreon that Nelson is believed to have a verbal agreement with West Ham, and Arsenal know he wants to leave.

But the same source adds that there’s no agreement between West Ham and Arsenal.

West Ham insider ExWHUEmployee reported this week that Nelson is interested in a move to join the Hammers, and he’s made his intention clear to Arsenal.

Nelson is reportedly hopeful a deal can be done before West Ham’s pre-season tour of the United States.

West Ham have a friendly on Saturday against Dagenham and Redbridge, after which they’ll head out to the U.S. for a couple of games, starting with Wolves on Saturday, July 27th.

David Ornstein recently reported for The Athletic that Arsenal are looking for a fee of around £20m including add-ons to sell this summer.

Nelson still has a deal with Arsenal to 2027, with an option to extend to 2028, so there’s no pressure on Arsenal to sell.

Yet it seems the 24-year-old is starting to feel a move might be his best option, having only played 639 minutes for the Arsenal first team in 2023/24.
