The Euro qualifying group phase has concluded and we now know the eight teams that have qualified directly, alongside the hosts Switzerland, as well as all the teams that will have to go to the play-offs

The nine qualified teams are: Denmark, England (holders), France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland (hosts).

Kathrine Kühl, Lotte Wubben-Moy, Beth Mead, Leah Williamson, Alessia Russo, Victoria Pelova, Laia Codina, Mariona Caldentey and Lia Wälti could all be involved if they are called up by their country.

The play-offs will be played in two rounds with teams from League A playing against teams from League C in round 1

In play-offs from League A: Austria, Belgium, Czechia, Finland, Norway, Poland, Republic of Ireland, Sweden.

In play-offs from League C: Albania, Belarus, Georgia, Greece, Luxembourg, Montenegro, Romania, Slovenia

Teams from League B will also play each other in round 1

Seeded
Portugal, Scotland, Wales, Serbia, Ukraine, Northern Ireland

Unseeded
Turkey, Croatia, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovakia, Azerbaijan

In the second round, the teams from both paths come together and will be drawn into seven ties, with seeding for the seven highest-ranked teams based on the European qualifiers overall league rankings.

The seven winners progress to the final tournament

All the teams from League A should beat their opponents from League C, while the League B teams should see some interesting battles. And then, in Round 2, League A teams will play League B teams and upsets are definitely possible there.

The final draw for the 2025 Euros will take place on 16 December 2024.
