FIFA have published the official squad list for the Paris 2024 Women’s Football Olympics tournament and there are seven Arsenal players involved.
Summer tournaments have a negative impact on the club as they eat up the pre-season, as seen last year when 17 players were at the World Cup in Australia and missed out most of the pre-season program.
That ended up with the club coming short in the Champions League Qualifying Round 1 and going out early. Luckily this year, there are fewer players involved, so it shouldn’t impact the club as much this time around.

The tournament is taking place between Thursday 25 July and Saturday 10 August with games taking place all over France in Marseille, Lyon, Paris, Bordeaux, Saint-Etienne, Nice, and Nantes.
Those seven players are likely to miss the pre-season start and depending on how much rest the club gives them, they could be involved in the US pre-season tour with the games against Washington Spirit on 18 August and Chelsea on 25 August.
The WSL season will start on 21 September, while the Champions League qualifiers will take place on 4 and 7 September at Meadow Park.
