Arsenal are among several clubs with an interest in Crystal Palace England international Eberechi Eze this summer, according to a report.

Ed Aarons reports for The Guardian that Arsenal are believed to be among several clubs interested in Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze this summer.

Aarons had previously reported that Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur were also in the mix for the midfielder, along with Arsenal, and this new update suggests Arsenal’s interest hasn’t faded away.

A move is probably unlikely before Eze’s return from Euro 2024, with England now in the semi-finals of the competition.

Aarons’ previous report suggested Eze is likely to cost more than £60m, hinting that Palace are going to hold out for his release clause.

Sami Mokbel of the Daily Mail had revealed that Eze has a clause worth £60m with another £8m in add-ons.

Eze actually spent time playing for Arsenal much earlier in his career, as an academy player. The Gunners let him go at the age of 13, and he admitted in 2021 that the decision left him in tears.

Perhaps that story could yet have a happy ending, with the 25-year-old returning to his old club and proving his worth.

The versatile Palace midfielder can also play on the wings and made 31 appearances for his current club last season, scoring 11 goals and assisting six. As mentioned, he’s currently away with England at Euro 2024.
