Kealan Hughes reports for The S*n that Arsenal will reluctantly let Eddie Nketiah leave this summer, with the player hoping to secure a move for regular minutes before the start of the 2024/25 campaign.

Fulham are reportedly in pole position for the signing, and the report claims they’d be willing to offer up to £30m. Crystal Palace and Wolves are also in the race for a permanent deal.

Everton are also interested in Nketiah, but on a year-long loan.

Fabrizio Romano previously reported that there’s a concrete possibility Nketiah could move on this summer, adding that the striker has always had plenty of interest in the Premier League and the Bundesliga.

And speaking to The Athletic FC Podcast, David Ornstein suggested Nketiah’s future at Arsenal may be uncertain.

“Eddie Nketiah, I think the minutes that he’s receiving speak volumes,” Ornstein said. “Maybe Mikel Arteta and Arsenal don’t see him as one for them going forward.

“I know of clubs that like him too, yet he’ll have a decision to make as well as Arsenal.”

Nketiah made plenty of appearances in 2023/24, playing 37 times in all competitions, but that doesn’t really tell the whole story.

In terms of starts, Nketiah only managed 13, and none of those starts came in 2024.

The 24-year-old last made an Arsenal lineup away to Fulham on December 31st, 2023, one of just four times he completed the full 90 minutes of a game this season.
