Tosin Adarabioyo has joined Chelsea on a free transfer but not before he was caught deleting a pro-Arsenal tweet.

Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo was out of contract this summer has now signed for Chelsea as a free agent on a four-year deal.

The deal was all sorted pretty quickly, with Chelsea only making their initial approach one month ago, and strong links to the likes of Manchester United, Spurs, Newcastle United, and Fulham until very recently.

But Adarabioyo hasn’t had it all his way this week, as one Arsenal fan uncovered an old tweet of his praising the Gunners.

In the 2012 tweet shown above, Adarabioyo wrote: “The Invincibles is not just Arsenal’s best team ever but for me THE best team ever”

As soon as Arsenal fans started to share the post on Twitter, the player quickly deleted it to hide the evidence. Unfortunately, a few fans had already taken screenshots.

There’s nothing wrong with the post, with Adarabioyo just giving his honest opinion on one of the Premier League’s greatest-ever teams. But for a new Chelsea player, he clearly felt the admission was a little embarrassing.

After all, Chelsea fans have long claimed that their own title-winning teams of the same era were superior to Arsenal’s Invincible side.

It seems Adarabioyo disagreed, at least until Chelsea decided to buy him.

Chelsea have signed defender Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham on a free transfer, marking the first signing under new head coach Enzo Maresca. The 26-year-old centre-back, who had attracted interest from Newcastle, opted for a four-year deal with Chelsea.

Maresca, having previously worked with Adarabioyo at Manchester City, believes the player is a good fit for his tactical approach. This signing comes after Thiago Silva’s departure from Chelsea, creating a need for defensive reinforcements.
