Fabio Vieira has a chance to leave Arsenal this summer, but only if the Gunners receive a good offer for his services, according to a report.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Fabio Vieira’s future will depend on the offers Arsenal receive for him this summer.

At this stage, Romano claims things are quiet, but there’s a chance the player could leave if the Gunners get a good offer.

James McNicholas adds for The Athletic that Vieira’s status in the Arsenal squad has evidently diminished considerably, but his future may be tied to Emile Smith Rowe’s.

McNicholas suggests that losing both players would leave Arsenal light and with work to do to replace them, so it could be that the Gunners will look to sell only the one that generates the most interest.

Vieira won’t get the chance to garner interest at Euro 2024 this summer, with Portugal opting against calling him up for the tournament.

Despite captaining the Portugal u21s on many occasions and providing 20 goal contributions in his 25 games for the youth side, Vieira is yet to make his senior debut for his country.

The 23-year-old’s minutes for Arsenal are likely a factor in that situation, as he only played 470 minutes for the first team this season.

Though with one goal and three assists, Vieira was relatively productive in those occasional appearances. He can also point to the winning penalty in the 2023 Community Shield as evidence that he was ready to step up when called upon.

Arsenal signed Vieira in the summer of 2022, and he still has another three years on his contract, so the club are unlikely to rush to any decisions.

Romano and McNicholas are likely right to suggest his future will be determined more by what happens outside of north London in terms of interest and bids, rather than any internal decision.
