Arsenal’s hopes of securing the highly-coveted Victor Osimhen have received a significant boost.

According to Sky Sports transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, the Napoli striker strongly favours a move to the Premier League, with England being his preferred destination over France.

Di Marzio states, “The possibility of playing in France again does not excite Osimhen who has already played there with Lille. Clearly playing with PSG is different … but his preference is England.”

While Chelsea remains a strong contender, Arsenal could leverage Osimhen’s desire to play in England and the Champions League. As Di Marzio notes, the Nigerian striker frequently visits the country during his time off.

It remains to be seen whether Arsenal will be willing to meet Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis‘ £120 million asking price, a crucial factor in this potential transfer.

Chelsea’s potential involvement of Romelu Lukaku in a swap deal could complicate Arsenal’s pursuit of Osimhen. Napoli’s interest in the Belgian striker might give Chelsea the edge in negotiations.
