Harry Maguire is set to miss Manchester United’s match against Arsenal this weekend after picking up an injury in training.
Manchester United’s official website confirmed on Sunday that Harry Maguire has sustained a muscle injury, and the centre-back is set to be out for around three weeks.
The BBC report that the injury was sustained in training, and Maguire is now a doubt for the FA Cup final on Saturday, May 25th.
Before that, United still have a few games to play in the Premier League, including a match at home to Arsenal on Sunday, May 12th. There’s seemingly no chance Maguire will be available for that fixture.
Manchester United do have a few players hoping to make injury comebacks before the Arsenal clash.
Jonny Evans, Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, and Anthony Martial have all returned to the training pitches, and United are hoping to have them available for the final few games.
Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof may also be available, with United having to operate without most of their senior centre-backs in the last few weeks.
Marcus Rashford, Scott McTominay, and Bruno Fernandes are all doubts to face Crystal Palace on Monday night, but again, United will hope to have them back in action by the weekend.
Other than Maguire, it appears Tyrell Malacia is the only United player almost guaranteed to miss the Arsenal clash at this stage.
