Arsenal’s Gabriel Magalhaes and Gabriel Martinelli have been called up by Brazil for Copa America, with their reactions shared on social media.
Brazil boss Dorival Junior confirmed his call-ups for the 2024 Copa America on Friday, with a couple of Arsenal players involved.
Having started the last six Brazil fixtures that he was fit for, it was no surprise to see Gabriel Magalhaes in the squad, but it was nice to see Gabriel Martinelli involved too, despite his recent spell on the bench for Arsenal.
Gabriel Jesus didn’t receive a call-up, with suggestions that he may need another surgery in the summer.
Gabriel’s reaction to his call-up was caught on camera, with his wife Gabrielle Figueiredo posting the video clip to her Instagram story.

Martinelli shared his own reaction on Twitter, writing: “Feeling of pride in representing the Brazilian team again.
“But I have to express my sadness for everything that is happening in the south of Brazil and say that we will be during the Copa América, fighting for all Brazilians who now need our help more than ever. My heart is with you.”
The 2024 Copa America will take place between June 20th and July 14th, with the United States to host the tournament.
Brazil have been drawn in a group with Colombia, Paraguay and Costa Rica, with two teams from each group advancing to the knockout stages.
