Arsenal’s Ovie Ejeheri has confirmed he’ll be leaving the club this summer with a post on his social media page.

Arsenal goalkeeper Ovie Ejeheri posted on Instagram on Friday to confirm his departure from the club.
“13 years!” Ejeheri began. “8-21. From a boy to a man. Forever grateful to share so many memories over the years at the [Arsenal] academy with everyone.
“Honestly a miracle to have made it this far. Now it’s time to fly…”
Ejeheri’s contract expires this summer, and it looks as though it won’t be renewed.

The goalkeeper made 18 appearances for the Arsenal u21s this season, having previously spent time out on loan.
Ejeheri joined Chelmsford City in the National League South in 2022/23, making 23 appearances and keeping 11 clean sheets.
Those performances caught the eye overseas, and Ejeheri moved on to play for SJK Seinajoki in the Finnish first tier in the second half of the season, keeping nine clean sheets in 18 games.

For a first season in senior football, Ejeheri’s 20 clean sheets in 41 appearances was very impressive. But it didn’t lead to another move last summer, so he returned to academy football for the 2023/24 campaign.
Ejeheri will now look to make a fresh start with a new club once his Arsenal departure is finalised in June.
