It’s a busy summer with Euro 2024 being played in Germany. Several Arsenal players will be taking part in those championships. It’s also a time when the Gunners will be looking to strengthen their squad for next season, so what might just happen in the coming months?

There are rumours that Gabriel Jesus may be on his way out of the Emirates. Mikel Arteta has no idea where they have come from as the Brazilian still has plenty of time left on his contract. He’s had a difficult season due to injuries and if he does stay, it looks as if his first-eleven opportunities may be limited.

The form of Kai Havertz has made life difficult for Jesus but could another problem be on the horizon? Ivan Toney is believed to be a transfer target for Arsenal. The odds on which club he’ll be playing for when the summer transfer window closes has the Gunners as the favourites. It’s 13/8 that the England striker will be playing for Arsenal next season.

He’d be a good signing for the club who will have another busy season in the Premier League and the Champions League. His form hasn’t been great since returning from his ban but you can bet he’ll get better service if playing for Arsenal rather than Brentford.

Building an even stronger squad for next season is so important for Arsenal and signing Toney would certainly achieve that.

However, the Gunners may have another striker on their minds. Alexander Isak has been in excellent form for Newcastle United in recent months. Losing him would be a big blow for the ambitious club from the North East but it could happen. Arsenal are as short as 5/4 with some UK bookmakers bonus bets to be signing Isak during the summer transfer window.

Another possible departure from Newcastle (who won’t be in the Champions League next season) is Bruno Guimaraes. He’s 7/2 to be signed by Arsenal but is rightfully well-regarded at Newcastle and he’s 8/11 to stay put, at least for now.

Viktor Gyokeres also looks to be a player that Mikel Arteta is interested in signing during the summer. He’s won the Portuguese title with Sporting Lisbon this season. The top clubs in Portugal do tend to have difficulty hanging onto their top players so a move is possible.

He’s been the top scorer in the Primeria League and in double figures for assists too. His release clause is £85 million, will that put Arsenal off signing him? It’d be more bad news for Jesus if that was to happen.

The same feeling would be experienced if Ollie Watkins was to sign for the Gunners. He continues to score on a regular basis for Aston Villa and has another season in European football assured for 2024/25. If he was to leave Villa Park, Arsenal are the favourites to sign him at odds of 8/1.

An outside bet is that Marcus Rashford might be on his way to the Emirates. There’s likely to be plenty of turmoil at Old Trafford during the summer. A managerial change is likely and a fair few players being signed and transferred too.

One of those could well be Rashford who at his best is a great addition to any squad. However, if he does leave, PSG are the favourites to sign him as a replacement for the departing Kylian Mbappe who is 12/1 to be an Arsenal player next season, now that would be a big signing. As for Rashford, It’s 16/1 that the England international signs for Arsenal.

The same price is available for Conor Gallagher moving to the club from Chelsea. There are several Premier League sides who would love to add him to their squad including Tottenham. He’s 4/9 to still be a Chelsea player when the summer transfer window closes.

Pedro Neto is another target for the Gunners. The Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder is 10/3 to sign for Arsenal but Manchester United and Liverpool are also interested in the Portuguese player.

One player that might be leaving during the summer could be Aaron Ramsdale. Like Jesus, he’s been struggling to be consistently in the starting line-up. David Raya has established himself in the team, so Ramsdale may well move to pastures anew in the summer transfer window.

Newcastle United are 2/1 to sign him with Chelsea at 5/1 and West Ham United at 8/1 if he fancies staying in London. Diant Ramaj of Ajax or the return of Wojciech Szczesny are possible replacements.

It’s going to be a fascinating summer as Arsenal look to strengthen their squad. Just who they will be signing remains to be seen.
