Sturm Graz sporting director Andreas Schicker has confirmed that the club will meet with Arsenal next week to discuss a permanent deal for Danish striker Mika Biereth. The 21-year-old has been on loan at Sturm Graz since January, scoring nine goals and providing four assists in 22 appearances.

“Yes, we want to try to get Mika permanently,” Schicker told Kurier. “We have an appointment with Arsenal next week. Perhaps they will present a price that is manageable for us.”

Schicker also indicated that Sturm Graz is willing to “push their limits” to secure Biereth‘s services, highlighting the club’s strong desire to keep the talented striker.

Biereth‘s impressive form has helped Sturm Graz win the Austrian Bundesliga title – ending RB Salzburg’s run of 10-in-a-row and contributed to their OFB Cup victory. He played a crucial role in both competitions, scoring and assisting goals.

Despite being knocked out of the Europa Conference League by Lille, Biereth showed his ability to step up on the European stage, netting three times in four games.

Overall, Biereth‘s loan spell at Sturm Graz has been a resounding success, with 15 goals and nine assists between his two loan spells at Motherwell and Sturm Graz. The striker will return to Arsenal with two medals and a wealth of experience, but his future remains uncertain.

Next week’s meeting between Sturm Graz and Arsenal will be pivotal in determining whether Biereth will return to Austria or if he has done enough to impress Mikel Arteta.
