Arsenal‘s versatile midfielder Omotara Junaid has been named to England’s 20-player squad for the 2024 UEFA Women’s U17 EURO finals, set to take place in Sweden from May 5-18.

Junaid, born in the United States, also holds eligibility to represent the United States Women’s National Team (USWNT) and the Nigerian Super Falcons (Nigerian Super Falcons). Her inclusion in England’s competitive fixtures, as exclusively revealed by All Nigeria Soccer, provisionally cap-ties her to the nation.

The 16-year-old has been a standout player for Arsenal Women’s youngsters. She was instrumental in their unbeaten 2022-2023 season, finishing as the team’s second-highest goalscorer with nine goals.

The 2024 U17 EURO serves as a qualifier for the 2024 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup, with the top three teams representing Europe.

England will kick off their Group A campaign against Norway on May 5th. They will also face hosts Sweden and France in the group stage.
