After thrashing Manchester United 6-2, the Arsenal u21s are set to play against Chelsea in the Premier League 2 play-off quarter-final stage this weekend.

Arsenal have now confirmed that the match will take place at Meadow Park on Saturday, May 11th at 13:00 BST.

The game will be free for supporters to attend.

The format of the Premier League 2 was altered this season, with the league expanded and split into a league phase and a play-off phase.

Each of the 26 teams played 20 matches during the season, before the top-16 finishers progressed into a knockout competition to determine the overall champions of the Premier League 2 for 2023/24.

The draw for the last-16 was entirely seeded, with first place facing 16th, second facing 15th, and so on, and the same is true of the latter stages.

Arsenal were seeded fifth after finishing fifth in the league, so they faced Manchester United (12th) in the last-16, and they’ll now play Chelsea (fourth) in the quarter-finals.

With Fulham (third) the only top-eight seed to lose at the last-16 stage, the full quarter-final bracket and seeds are as follows:

  • Tottenham Hotspur (1) vs Liverpool (8)
  • Arsenal (5) vs Chelsea (4)
  • Reading (6) vs Nottingham Forest (14)
  • Sunderland (7) vs West Ham (2)

If Arsenal can progress, they’ll play with Spurs or Liverpool in the semi-final, before facing Reading, Nottingham Forest, Sunderland, or West Ham United in the final.
