Natalie Portman has revealed that her son loves Arsenal, with the movie star having made an appearance of her own at the Emirates Stadium earlier this season.

Speaking to the SmartLess podcast soon after her appearance at the Golden Globes earlier this year, Hollywood star Natalie Portman answered a question on whether her children would have had any interest in an autograph from those in attendance.

“My 12-year-old’s a boy…there were no soccer players in that room,” Portman responded, adding that her son was a “massive” fan of the sport.

“He loves Real Madrid and he loves Arsenal. And PSG, of course, and Angel City.”

The mentions of PSG and Angel City are unsurprising. Portman lives in Paris, and co-owns Angel City, so those two would get a token mention in any conversation about her family and football.

But Arsenal have evidently made an impression on Portman’s family from afar.

Back in October, when Arsenal took on Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium, Portman was among those in attendance in the stands.

Arsenal fan Georgia Amison shared a picture from the box seats at the Emirates Stadium sitting alongside Portman and Isla Fisher at the game, with both actresses dressed in the new Arsenal Women’s away shirt.

Even that wasn’t the first time Portman had a brush with Arsenal, as she was photographed alongside Bukayo Saka at Wembley as the Lionesses took on the USA in October 2022.

As mentioned, Portman is involved in football as one of the owners and founders of Women’s Soccer League side Angel City FC, over in the U.S.

Other investors in Angel City include Christina Aguilera, Jessica Chastain, America Ferrera, Jennifer Garner, and Eva Longoria.
