Arsenal’s young striker Mika Biereth has turned heads with his impressive performances on loan with Sturm Graz.

His goalscoring form has led to widespread transfer speculation, but the Gunners are keeping their options open.

Internal discussions later this year will determine whether Biereth stays at Arsenal, secures a permanent transfer, or goes on another loan spell.

Mika Biereth’s impressive form on loan with Sturm Graz has drawn significant attention, but his future at Arsenal remains uncertain. The Gunners plan to hold internal discussions later this year to determine the young striker’s best path forward.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported last month that Biereth’s goalscoring exploits have sparked a “race” to sign him this summer, with multiple clubs expressing interest. However, Arsenal have made it clear that any decision on his future will be taken after careful consideration.

Simon Collings previously reported Sturm Graz’s eagerness to secure Biereth on a permanent transfer. The Austrian club’s interest has likely grown even stronger given his recent form, but they could face fierce competition from other potential suitors across Europe.

They 21-year-old currently has 14 goals, and eight assists, in 30 games, averaging a goal or assist every 97 minutes and has enjoyed a breakout season. He’s scored crucial goals in the Europa Conference League and has helped propel Sturm Graz to second place in the Austrian league, level on points with RB Salzburg but trailing on goal difference. Biereth also contributed significantly with Motherwell FC earlier in the campaign, racking up 33 combined goals and assists in 30 appearances across both loan spells.

While Biereth has expressed a desire for first-team football, potentially opening the door to a permanent move, he remains hopeful of getting a chance to prove himself at Arsenal.

Arsenal’s internal talks will be crucial in shaping Biereth’s future. The club must weigh Biereth’s strong loan performances against his fit within their long-term plans. Whether a permanent transfer or another loan spell is the best course of action remains to be seen.
