Reports suggest Arsenal have reignited their interest in Juventus striker Dušan Vlahović ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Gunners are reportedly “ready to strike” and make a significant move for the Serbian international, potentially resolving their ongoing need for a reliable goalscorer.

Arsenal‘s interest in Vlahović is not new. They narrowly missed out on signing him in 2022 when he opted for Juventus. This renewed pursuit signals a determination to land the prolific striker and strengthen their attacking options.

Juventus’ financial situation could play a role

Tuttosport reports that Juventus may be willing to sell Vlahović to raise funds and reshape their squad. Arsenal could capitalise on this opportunity, especially if they can structure a deal that is financially appealing to the Italian club.

While Arsenal currently sit atop the Premier League, they’ve missed opportunities to convert chances consistently. Vlahović, with his 17 goals, and three assists, in 31 games this season, would be a major upgrade on Gabriel Jesus’s eight goals (seven assists) and Eddie Nketiah’s six (three assists). He could be the difference-maker as Arsenal look to secure the league title and make a deep Champions League run next season.

While no specific figures have been mentioned, the potential for a cash-plus-player deal could be attractive for Juventus. Rumours have circulated about the possibility of including young midfielder Charlie Patino as part of the package. Juventus are very keen to get their hands on the 20-year-old.
