Arsenal defender Jürrien Timber is nearing a return from his knee injury, and his twin brother Quinten is impressed with his dedication to recovery while Arsenal seem impressed with Quinten.
Jürrien Timber suffered a cruciate ligament tear in his debut for Arsenal back in August. After months of rehabilitation, he’s now back in training and aiming for a return before the season ends.
In a recent interview, Quinten, who plays in midfield for Feyenoord and was recently called up to the Dutch national team for the first time, spoke highly of Jürrien’s work ethic during his recovery. “He has picked it up so positively,” Quinten said. “I can only express my appreciation when I see how hard he is working on his comeback. I am sure he will show his qualities again at Arsenal.”
The Timber brothers are known for their close bond, and this is evident in their support for each other’s careers.
While Quinten acknowledged the potential of playing alongside Jürrien at some point, his focus remains on his own development. “We are not so concerned about playing together for one club,” he said.
Interestingly, Quinten himself has emerged as a transfer target for Arsenal, potentially creating the possibility of both brothers playing for the Gunners. However, Quinten remains open to other possibilities, stating, “Only God knows where I end up.”
Quinten’s strong performances for Feyenoord, with eight goals and nine assists in 40 appearances, have attracted attention from several Premier League clubs, including Arsenal.
Jürrien is expected to be back ‘soon’, but it’s uncertain if he’ll feature against Aston Villa this weekend.
